Hey, guys! Sorry, I didn’t post last week. I almost didn’t get today’s post done either. But, eventually I forced myself away from my Classified re-write (which we will discus in another post later) and wrote this. XD
So, guess what. I was tagged! *throws confetti* For the 20 Questions Tag! I keep wanting to call it 21 Questions, as in the game 21 Questions, but I can’t. Because, obviously, it doesn’t have 21 questions, but 20. ANYWAYS… enough of my rambling. *clears throat*
First: A special thanks to Catwing over at The Catwing Has Landed. You can check out her answers to the tag here. *throws feathers in your honor* (Yes, I know that throwing feathers is your things, but…. I did do it in you honor, so…) 😉
Now, let us begin!
#1: How many books are too many in a series?
I’m not really sure. I like the Nancy Drew series and there are over fifty of those books. But, then again, they aren’t all connected. They all have their own story and can be read in whatever order. I guess it depends on the story. Some stories have a lot of sequel possibilities and some just don’t.
#2: How do you feel about cliff-hangers?
I love cliffhangers… well, if I don’t actually get stuck on them, that is. I hardly ever stop reading at the end of a chapter,(especially those ones with cliffhangers) unless I have to. Or if it’s late, and I need to go to bed, and I force myself to finish the chapter and not start another one. (I rarely succeed in this, but, okay.)
#3: Hardback or paperback?
Paperback. Yes, definitely paperback. Their just nicer. And smoother. And… soft… *looks off into space*
#4: Favorite book?
One? Just one? Umm… I don’t know if I can back a good decision on that. I guess… it would have to one of the Narnia books but I can’t chose with one. Uh… I guess I’ll say The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe. (Only because you’re making me chose) I really do love the allegory in that one.
#5: Least favorite book?
*doesn’t want to say the name or the author in fear of getting in trouble* Um… I bought a book little while ago. *cough* I didn’t finish it. *coughs again* I won’t go into detail, but just know this: I was enraged. I wanted to burn it for what it had done to my poor brain, but… my mom told me to throw it away instead. Thank goodness it had cost me less than a dollar. *whispers* You know… I probably should have taken that as a hint.
#6: Love-triangles, yes or no?
Well, I’ve never really been one for romance, so I feel like my automatic answer would be no. But… I have read a couple love triangles that have brought a lot of good things to the story, so… I’ll just leave it at… it depends on the book.
#7: The most recent book you couldn’t finish?
I think it was… Last Day on Mars by Kevin Emerson. (Although, I could be remembering that wrong) I borrowed it from the library but ended up not reading very much of it. It didn’t really interest me, I guess.
#8: A book you’re currently reading?
Well… The Hobbit. I guess. I was reading several at a time (probably not the best idea) but I think I’ve actually finished all the others, so that’s the only one left. I’ve read it before, but this time it’s taking me a while. 🙂
#9: Last book you recommended to someone?
Hmm… I don’t really recommend books that often. Not because I don’t think they aren’t recommend worthy, just because I hardly ever think to do it. But… the last book I recommended was probably Resistance by Jaye. L. Knight. To my brother. Well… I guess it was more of a begging because I wanted someone to talk to about it so bad.. but, yeah. He still hasn’t read it though. 😥
#10: Oldest book you’ve read? (publication date)
Uhh… I really have no idea whatsoever. I really don’t pay much attention to publication dates. But… I guess I’d have to go with the Bible. 😉 I think that’s probably a pretty accurate guess.
#11: Newest book you’ve read? (publication date)
Again, I don’t pay much attention to publication dates. Although, I have read some books that haven’t even been published yet, so… does that count?
#12: Favorite author?
Gah! Haw can I chose? I can’t! Not just one! But… because I chose The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe (only because you guys made me) I guess, I’d go with C. S. Lewis. He is an amazing author. And a total genius. So is J. R. R. Tolkien. But, right, only one.
#13: Buying books or borrowing?
I’d say borrowing. I love it when I own books (they’re my precious babies), but borrowing is… well, you know… free.
#14: A book you dislike that everyone seems to love?
Well, I don’t like the Harry Potter series. I mean, I haven’t really read them, *cough* but that’s just because I already know that I won’t like them. I usually can tell a book that I’ll like or dislike.
#15: Bookmarks or dog-ears?
Bookmarks of course! Never dog ears! Never! Plus, it wouldn’t look as nice. And bookmarks can be fun to make, too.
#16: A book you can always reread?
Any of the Chronicles of Narnia books. I’ll read those ’till I die. 😉
#17: Can you read while listening to music?
Um, usually I can tune out surrounding noises, but I’d usually turn off the music while I’m reading.
#18: One POV or multiple POVs?
I think it totally depends on the book and what happens. I don’t think I have a preference really. I like them both. It just depends.
#19: Do you read a book in one sitting or over multiple days?
It depends on how long the books is. And how interesting it is. A lot of times I’ll read it in long sittings spread out over multiple days. 😉 Usually, though, it’ll take me more than a day.
#20: Who do you tag?
Well, there you go. You hath been tagged. I can’t wait to see all your answers. XD
Okay, I’m done now. That actually was kind of fun. And now… *mutters something about writing pain, drama, and death* I…. gotta go. Until next time! *bows*
